11/24/21 – Headaches of Owning a Brokerage Turned San Diego’s Kyle Whissel Into an eXp Realty Advocate. Many independent broker-owners share similar stories of mounting stress and risk, which is why San Diego’s Kyle Whissel closed his brokerage in 2018 and joined eXp Realty. He was done with the headaches. “When your headspace is consumed with stuff that is stressing you out — stupid things — you don’t have room in your headspace to do beneficial things,” said Whissel. The San Diego broker-owner ran Whissel Realty from 2006 to 2018, but said he was tired of spending more time with lawyers whenever a mistake was made in a deal — whether his team was at fault or not. “It never made sense to me to get their brand name. ‘Pay us a ton of money and use our brand.’ No thanks,” said Whissel, who praised eXp’s model for allowing agents to keep their brand and grow their business risk-free.
2/1/21 – Northern Virginia’s Brenda Stone “allowed herself to listen” to eXp Realty’s business model, it didn’t take her long to make the move. “To join a company that gives me stock for doing my job was revolutionary,” said Stone. “Additionally, having accessible leadership is another unique aspect of the company. “
1/25/21 – California Real Estate Industry Heavyweight Jeffrey Culbertson Comes Out of Retirement to Join eXp. “eXp is attracting many more people like myself,” said Jeffrey. “We’ve seen a lot and once we have watched it, looked at it and poked holes in it, we know what’s real and what’s not.” Jeffrey says there’s a lot of interest in eXp and he’s receiving calls daily from people wanting to know more. “People ask me all the time, ‘what are the problems with eXp? What would you change?’ I tell them that the biggest problem I have with eXp is ‘why didn’t I come up with this idea myself?’
12/21/21 – Top-Producer John Mikesh Almost Left Real Estate Until eXp Solved His Biggest Frustration. “AJ had tried to share the eXp model with me before, but I politely said no — it was never for me,” said Mikesh, who was closed to the idea of eXp for many years. “But, I knew his business was growing and I was happy for him. So, AJ and I went for a walk in the park. He told me his numbers and that was it — it flipped a switch for me.” “I am absolutely blown away by eXp’s model,” said Mikesh. “As good as my real estate business was, I’d still have sleepless nights by trying to hit numbers, thinking of the competition, people coming and going. But now I have sleepless nights because real estate is fun again. I can’t wait to get started every day.”
1/18/20 – Jessie Yerxa has been a top-producing real estate agent since 2009 in Fredericton, the capital of Canada’s New Brunswick province. “I started to see the growth and every time I saw a biography on Instagram, it was someone from eXp,” said Yerxa. “As word of eXp Realty coming to town started to circulate, many other Realtors just like me noticed eXp everywhere. So together, we all jumped in, two feet first!”
8/3/20 – Like many independent brokers, Chauncey Pham joined eXp Realty to free herself of the complications and liabilities of running her own brokerage. The huge overhead, difficulty in attracting top talent, and desire for less risk led her to eXp, which provides support for all of that and much more.
7/20/20 – Once Than understood eXp’s model, he knew he found his answer. Since 2004, Nathaniel “Than” Merrill has transacted more than a $1 billion dollars in residential and commercial real estate investments through his companies. But he kept facing a problem, which is to help his investor clients grow beyond the San Diego region where Than conducts business.With eXp Realty, he feels his problem is solved and growth is now unlimited.
7/1/20 – Jim McInerney has been in the real estate business for 19 years, working for several premier luxury brokerages servicing the gorgeous La Jolla, California area. But it wasn’t until the COVID-19 outbreak that he knew things needed to change. McInerney also cited eXp’s additional revenue streams and the ability to purchase stock at a discount with each closing to be attractive in building a retirement nest egg. In 2019, his team closed on 35 transactions for a total of $50,350,000 in sales.
7/14/20 – “It is just a better platform to build on,” said Austin Cheviron. “You still have to do the building. I say it’s like getting the option to earn the whole dollar and not just 50 cents when doing a transaction.” In 2019, his team did $25 million in sales on 150 transactions.
7/6/20 – “I said to myself, ‘Let me really invest by walking away from this traditional brokerage model and give my agents what they deserve,” Jason Farris said of his team in which nearly all of his 55 agents moved over to eXp in March 2020. In 2019, Farris’ team completed $195 million in sales on 625 transactions.
5/8/20 – eXp Realty hires Michael Valdes as Executive Vice President of International Expansion. Valdes brings an impressive 25-year career in global real estate and finance with him to eXp where he most recently held the position of Senior Vice President of Global Servicing for the Realogy Corporation, including notable brands such as Better Homes & Gardens, Century 21, Coldwell Banker, Corcoran ERA and Sotheby’s International.
3/12/20 – One of the largest Century 21 teams in Hawaii switched over to eXp Realty. The Farris Team, run by husband and wife duo Travis and Neessa Farris, said the move was necessary for growth and innovation. By utilizing a remote working model, Travis told HousingWire that eXp allows them to collaborate like never before.
2/26/20 – Major indie brokerage joins eXp Realty! Revelation Real Estate is consistently recognized as a top-producing brokerage, with more than $1.7 billion in annual sales in 2018 and almost 900 agents. “In our marketplace, we more than doubled the market share of any other single office, and did so for years, but we recognized that this industry is rapidly changing and that eXp is able to fill in the gaps that we can’t,” she added. “eXp is the answer and we went for it.”
2/1/20 – Tina Beliveau was a general manager of KW Legacy Brokerage Group, growing the office to be the No. 1 seller in in the state. “When I ran the numbers on the eXp business model, I was in complete shock at what I had been missing, which was the first thing that woke me up,’’ said Beliveau. “I then spent time getting to know the leaders of eXp, and considered in which company my greatest strengths and most natural talents would align. Ultimately I came to the very clear decision that eXp was right for me.”
3/10/20 – The Dustin Runyon Team – formerly with Keller Williams Realty – has joined eXp Realty. “Leaving our brokerage was a hard decision and took over a year. We are focused on long term relationships and growth for everyone in the business, therefore we knew a change must be made to open the umbrella more,” group founder Dustin Runyon said.
10/11/2019 – Kurz Real Estate is joining eXp Realty. eXp Realty is growing by nearly 200 agents in South Florida with the acquisition of Kurz Real Estate, The Real Deal has learned. “We are one of the largest brokerages to merge with eXp. Ninety-eight percent of our agents are moving with us,” Kurz Real Estate owner David Kurz
9/27/2019 – Miranda Real Estate Group Inc. has joined eXp Realty. Miranda said he spent a year researching eXp Realty and feels confident about its future, saying the technology company will disrupt the traditional real estate business model the way Amazon upended brick-and-mortal retail and Uber changed taxis.
8/29/19 – Carl Azbell and the Countrywide Realty Group, Texas
Azbell has more than 19 years in the real estate industry and was a top producer at Countrywide Home Loans and Keller Williams before bringing his team to eXp.
Glenn Bill and the Glenn Bill Group, Indiana – Bill is a 31-year veteran of Century 21 and served as an agent, team leader and broker/owner.
Tina Garcia and Rudy Mohamed, and the Everest Team, Arizona founded in 2012, the Everest Team has become one of the top producing teams in Arizona. In 2018, they sold more than 200 homes, totaling more than $58 million in sales.
Vincent Koo, New York – Koo has been in the real estate industry for 19 years and previously led three EXIT Realty offices. Rip Phillips, Kentucky Phillips currently serves as the President of the Kentucky Association of REALTORS®. He has been in the real estate business for 15 years and joins eXp Realty as both an agent and a Kentucky Managing Broker.
6/5/19 – eXp Realty expands to the UK and Canada. EXp Realty announced on Wednesday that it is expanding its residential brokerage operations to the United Kingdom and Australia, its third and fourth countries after current markets in the U.S. and Canada.
1/18/19 – The McCabe Group joins eXp Realty. The McCabe’s have 160 5 star reviews on Zillow and after 7 years with Keller Williams chose to partner with eXp Realty.
10/18/18 – Home Island Realty joins eXp realty. Home Island Realty had 50+ agents when they partnered with eXp Realty

9/20/18– The Quinn/Stewart team joins eXp Realty. Another high producing team in Portland has partnered with eXp Realty.
9/19/19 – Linda Alexander joins eXp Realty. Linda helped open Oregon to Keller Williams in the early 2000’s. She grew that market center into a profitable franchise over the next 10 years.
7/3/18 – Solomon Yasmin joins eXp Realty. Solomon has more than seven years’ experience in the real estate industry and has closed more than 300 transactions. An award-winning agent, he received RE/MAX’s 100% Club award
6/1/18 – Group 46:10 Network joins eXp Realty. Kevin Kauffman and Fred Weaver have sold thousands of homes since 2008 when they started at the beginning of the recession. They have expansion partners throughout the country.
4/6/18 – Whissel Realty joins eXp Realty – Recently ranked the No. 1 real estate team No. 1 real estate team in San Diego County for both transaction sides and transaction volume by The Wall Street Journal, Trulia, Zillow and REAL Trends. They also ranked No. 5 in California for transaction sides. in San Diego County by The Wall Street Journal.
10/17/16 – Brent Gove. In 2005, Gove’s team completed 429 transactions sides accounting for approximately $169 million in sales volume which positioned him as the number 2 agent in the State of California and number 11 worldwide for RE/MAX (out of 128,000 agents). Gove also previously served as CEO and Team Leader of the Roseville, California market center for Keller Williams Realty which was the most profitable market center nationally during his tenure for the first quarter of 2010.
1/5/16 – Rob Flick joins eXp Realty. Rob Flick was the #14 Top Profit Share Earner at Keller Williams. He helped Gary Keller Launch Keller Williams in the United States over 20 years ago. Rob has been earning a Multi 6 figure residual income for the past 16 years via Keller Williams. He was 100% retired from Real Estate until seeing “The Future of Real Estate” with eXp Realty via Gene Fredrick in January of 2016.
4/24/15 – Gene Frederick was the #12 Profit Share Earner at Keller Williams! He was also an Owner of the West Region and owned 6 Keller Williams offices. When he saw the opportunity at eXp Realty, he SOLD all of his KW businesses to go to eXp.
